We love the vets and staff at DG Animal Hospital. We have been using their services for over 25 years now because our pets have always gotten excellent care there. If we have follow up questions, we just make a phone call and one of the vets always follows up quickly. We really appreciate how caring the whole staff is.
I couldn't imagine taking my babies anywhere else!! Dr. Sharon is the best vet I have encountered and she is great with all three of my babies. The staff is also so helpful and nice and do everything they can to get me in for an appointment and make sure I have everything I need even when Dr. Sharon isn't in. We are the Baldwin crew and they treat my babies as if they were their own.
Our dog Wrigley was treated by both senior Dr. Merkin and Dr. Max for over a period of 9 years. As he advanced in age both doctors walked us through all kinds of situations offering immediate help and suggestions to improve his lifestyle. He lived a good 17. We bid him farewell on the May 6th. I felt like I had to thank the wonderful team of staff and doctors. Thank you.
When I lived in Downers Grove, our family, the Marchese clan, took all of our pets here. Over the years Dr. Merkin treated us like a family. I wanted to be a vet because of him. He was so kind to me as a teenager. He even allowed me to watch a couple procedures so I could get an idea of what it was like. (Ended up being a teacher instead because vet school is so hard to get into) Glad to see he is still taking care of our fur babies ❤️
If you are a pet owner and in need of a fantastic animal hospital look no further. We rescued a wonderful lab mix puppy 3 months ago and found this amazing place. Our previous pets we took to a larger more institutional facility so that was our only experience but coming here is like joining a family. The doctors and all the staff are welcoming, friendly and most importantly genuine. They love what they do and are truly excited to help. I would highly recommend Downers Grove Animal Hospital, keep up the great service!
We highly recommend this clinic! The staff and doctor was so caring and compassionate towards us and our senior dog. We called before closing on a Friday night and they were able to offer us an appointment the very next day due to the circumstances - and on a Saturday! Our regular vet does not have weekend appointments so we were desperate to have her looked at. They took great time to evaluate her and provide meds to make her comfortable. Bottom line is that they care. Do not hesitate to call them.
